Military Ball

We had a military ball last night. Let me tell you that they are usually pretty boring!! Well listening to the speaker was boring and the food was pretty gross, that we paid 70.00 for, but the dancing and games were pretty fun. Eric actually danced with me. It was so amazing! Thank you Eric for the great time. I love you always.

This weekend

We got to go the Mountain Home air show this weekend and it was really fun. I am posting some pictures of the Thunder Birds. Also I am posting a video of Eric flying the Apache in the show. I would tell you which one he is but then you would all get confused. I will tell you that the one on the ground is not him. So you can take your pick on which one is him...lol. Sorry about the crappy video. The sun was right in my eyes and I was holding squirmy Quinn.

First day of school

Shandeigh's first day of fourth grade. This is the only good picture I got of her because she was so excited to get to school that she did not want to stand there and take a picture. But this is cute enough. She is turning into a very beautiful girl! She is growing up way to fast and is really taking good care of her diabetes. Oh yeah and we found out today for sure that she has celiac's. This is also another life changing experience for us. We have known for awhile but had to get a biopsy just to make sure the blood test was correct and today we found out that in fact it was really true. In case you dont know what celiacs is, it is where there intestines get VERY sick when they eat ANYTHING with gluten in it. It can cause colon cancer if they dont stop eating the gluten and it also makes them pretty sick if they eat just a teeny crumb. Anyway she has been gluten free for a week now and has been really good about it. I think I am taking it way harder then she is. She is such a strong girl! I love her so much. She is truley an angel in my eyes for all that she is faced with.
P.S. If you are always sick with stomach problems and always having to go number two all the time, you should go get checked for it. Studies say that 1 in every 133 people have celiacs and are never diagnosed.

Here is my Jonathan on his first day of Kindergarten. He was so excited for school to start also. He kept asking me daily when school was going to start, ever since we did kindergarten screening at the end of the school year. He is my quiet kid until he gets to know you and has really been enjoying school so far.

This is Jonathan giving Paden a hug good bye.

Jonathan in line to go in. He had asked if I would go in with him and I said ok. Well when the teachers came out to get them, they told us to give them hugs and kisses at the door and not walk them into the class. I asked Jonathan if he heard his teacher and he says yes and I think was a little dissappointed. He kind of gave me a kiss though. I was super excited because he thinks kissing is gross.. lol I always have to pin him down to kiss him. He is all boy!
My poor Paden was sobbing so hard that he did not get to go with Jonathan to class. He really missed his brother and sister.

Crazy summer

Sorry I have not posted in a long time. The summer has been crazy and school is now back in session. Kids are finally going to bed at a normal time and I can blog a little more now. So this is what I have been up to.
In the wanted adds I posted a post asking if anyone had any fruits or veggies they did not want and I would take them off their hands. Well someone called me. They had two huge apricot trees that they gave me a ton of apricots. After I got done canning, she called me the next week and asked if I wanted more. So I said sure. I was really sick of canning so I found really good homes for all those apricots. I canned apricot jam and syrup with the help of some great friends(you know who you are) thanks gals. It was a lot of work but well worth it. The jam and syrup is so YUMMY!!!
I also canned beans from my very own garden. I have really enjoyed my garden and all the yummy food that we have gotten. These beans are wonderful!

This is just a couple of the many many things we did this summer. We had a great summer and the kids were really excited when school started.

Mom and daughter night

Shandeigh and I had a mother, daughter party tonight for acheivement days and we had a really great time.
We had a menu thing we had to choose from with all the silly words that absolutley made no sense and we wrote down what utensil we got and how are meal was served to us. Shandeigh and I got a big pot spoon to eat with. We were served our dessert first our main course, then our salad. It was ALOT of fun. I love to be able to have special days with Shandeigh like this.
Me eating with my spoon. YUMMY!!
We then got to wash our hands with a sugar scrub they made. This is Shandeigh's very soft hands and arms.
Can't forget the finger nail painting!
and the toe nail painting.
Shandeigh's pretty fingers!
and my pretty fingers. She did a pretty good job.

Thanks Shandeigh for going with Mom! I love ya girl!

We went to the Zoo

Quinn loves any animal. He gets this high pitch squeal of excitement every time he sees any animal.

We went to the zoo a couple of days ago here in Boise with some friends. This is the prarie tunnel. From front to back is Shandeigh, Morgan, Jonathan, Jackson, and Paden.
Shandeigh, Paden, and Jonathan on the tiger. Paden was scared, if you could not tell, he did not want to get on that tiger.

This was right after we started on our way home. Got to love these days. Jonathan and Paden fast asleep on each other.
Here is Quinn fast asleep also. Love it Love it!!
And then Shandeigh who NEVER EVER gets tired during the day! She has to much going on in that smart little brain to be wasting it on sleep.

Quinn's first haircut

This is before I cut his hair. This one lady at church said "she" looked so cute. Yeah I know I watied a little long..lol
During the haircut. It would have been nice to have Eric there to hold his head, but we managed.
The after picture! Doesn't he look like a little boy now? Makes me sad, they grow up to fast.
Quinn loves to sweep and thought he would help out cleaning up his hair.
